Account of the King of Portugal Sebastien I's disastrous crusade into Morocco in an attempt to eject the Moors from North Africa and place Portugal at the head of a Catholic Europe. The Portuguese army was trounced by Ahmed Mohammed of Fez at “The Field of the Three Kings”, with 8,000 killed, including many of the country's nobility, and some 15,000 taken prisoner.
