Personal photo archives of Yaacov Carouse depicting the north african immigration to Palestine 1947-1948.
Yaacov Carouse was one of the immigration agents. He later served as a "Mossad" agent in France and became Isser Harel's assistant. In 1947 about 800 jews were transported on the desks of two ships the "Yehuda HaLevi" and the "Shivat Tzion" to the shores of Palestine.
